We’re keeping up with Sacramento businesses in our community with NOW in the 916! Watch every other Thursday as Deanna highlights businesses in the Sacramento area!
This week, we learn about The Kitchen Table, a kitchen boutique that specializes in high quality, kitchenware, cookware, and local goods. The store is not only packed with unique gifts, but also offers classes like cookie decorating, flower arrangement, watercolor, and more. The Kitchen Table has two locations, in Land Park at 2665 Riverside Blvd, and in East Sacramento at 810 Alhambra Blvd.

This week, we learn about Wildflower Daydreams Collective, a new event based small business operated by owner Michelle Honath. Michelle puts on wellness events for the community that include sound bath sessions, journaling workshops, meditation, hiking and other self-care activities. Michelle says her events are a great way to make connections and friends in the community and she wants her events to also be a safe space for women and the LGBTQIA+ community.

This week, we learn about I Love Pie Bakeshop. I Love Pie Bake Shop was started after owner Diana Shockley would sell out her pies at farmers markets around Sacramento and developed a following. Now, I Love Pie Bakeshop has set up shop permanently and is offering traditional pies. Occasionally they’ll do special edition pies, like their famous Harry Potter Butterbeer Pie.

This week, we learn about Bueno Cafe. They offer a variety of coffees with a Latino twist, teas, aqua frescas, lemonades, sandwiches and pastries. The owners, Carlos and Art, took the recipes from their own Mother’s to offer a flavor of Mexico. Bueno Cafe also serves as a meeting place for local organizations and events.

This week, we learn about The Allspicery, owned by sisters Jennifer and Judy. They are Sacramento’s only spice shop where you will find specialty herbs, spices, salts, sugars, chilies, teas and local gifts. Whether you are new to cooking or a seasoned chef, you will find everything you need to cook and bake. The Allspicery is also known for their allergy tea, blended to help with allergens specific to Sacramento.

This week, we learn about Capital Tuk-Tuk. Tuk-tuks are popular in Southeast Asia known for their size and quick bursts of speed. Capitol Tuk-Tuk offers eco-friendly tours of Sacramento. Various tours include a Christmastime tour through the fab 40s, a mural tour to see all the murals around Sacramento, and they just added a Ladybird tour to check out the locations from the Greta Gerwig movie.

This week, we learn about Licked Ice Cream a new ice cream shop in Oak Park that offers 16 unique rotating flavors including non-dairy and vegan options. They also make their waffle cones in house. You’re even allowed to bring your four-legged bestie with you, frozen yogurt pup cups are on the menu as well!
