Netflix’s ‘Dark Crystal’ Series Is Out And Captivating Audiences

Netflix’s new series, ‘Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’, has officially released and is captivating critics with it’s nostalgic feel.

The new Dark Crystal Netflix series, based off of Jim Henson’s fantastical, puppet-filled movie, has released and captured audiences attention and nostalgia.

According to People, the show has captivated both viewers and critics alike. The Dark Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is currently sitting at an 87% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics have given the show positive reviews, including Hank Steuver of the Washington Post. In his review, Steuver describes the series as “wondrously realized”, and a show that is “instantly captivating, expertly paced and thrillingly fun to watch.”

The show takes place in the same world as the Jim Henson classic, however this series is set up as a prequel to the 80’s film. The series features the familiar Gelfling hero creatures, and the evil Skeksis villains, all animated through impressive puppetry. The series also features an incredible cast lending their voices, including Taron EgertonAnya Taylor-Joy, Nathalie Emmanuel, Harvey Fierstein, Mark Hamill, and many others.
