We all have that neighborhood we go to every single year because we know they have a spectacular light show. Some people go to the Fab 40s, some to the house in Elk Grove that is synced up to music and some Dovewood Court.

In Park Ridge Illinois, it’s Tom and Tina Grusecki’s house that people flock to. They started doing a huge production at their house 4 years ago when they realized there wasn’t any crazy holiday themed houses to take their kids to in the area. One of their kids goes to school and is best friends with Benicio “Benny” Martinez who in 2016 was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Treatments have left him immobile and on a ventilator and the Grusecki’s have stepped in to try to help by raising money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which supports Benny in his battle with cancer. They have a donation box in front of their house and a sign illuminates the sky that reads “Benny Strong”. So far, they have raised over $28,000 in Benny’s name. To donate, to Benny’s St. Baldrick’s Foundation “Light the Way” page click HERE.
