Animal welfare activists say that in Israel thousands of pets are dumped at the roadside as families go away for their summer holidays, while in Europe the numbers of animals abandoned in the holiday season can climb into the hundreds of thousands across the continent. Military veterans are going to be able to adopt a new best friend for FREE starting in 2020!

CBSSacramento.com says that a “companion animal could be beneficial to veterans, particularly those struggling to cope with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

They also say that the new bill will go into effect on January 1st, 2020 throughout California.

How AMAZING is that?
