Mila Kunis opened up about how she and Ashton Kutcher ended up dating. It turns out the two lived out their love story on screen, too!
As a guest on Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast, Kunis talked about how their relationship started.
“I did a movie called ‘Friends With Benefits’. He did a movie that was very similar called ‘No Strings Attached’. We lived our movies out,” she said. “We were just like, let’s just hook up. Let’s have fun. We’re both single. We both trust each other. Everything’s great.”
Just as it plays out in both those films, the two started to realize they had feelings for one another. Understandable, since they’ve known each other since their That ’70s Show days!
“We were both […] seeing other people, and so the second that I started caring that he was seeing somebody else, then I was like, I all of a sudden had a sense that I got punched in the gut. I felt it. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m in love with this man and I have to walk away because this is not the agreement that we had.'”

Kunis was serious about moving on and even “bawled” all the way home, reports HelloGiggles. If it wasn’t for Kutcher taking initiative, they may never have started dating.
“The next day, at seven, eight in the morning, he just showed up at my house. He showed up at my house and was like, ‘Let’s move in together.’ And I was like, ‘You can’t do this. It’s too early for you,’ because he was only single at that point for maybe a year, a year and a half — […] I said you need to date other people. And he said, ‘I’m not gonna lose you.'”
Cue the fade to black and the happily ever after.
