The movie will also star both Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina. The two actors will reportedly be playing notable Batman villains, Black Mask and Victor Zsasz. As for the tone of the film, Robbie has described Birds of Prey as a less serious movie. According to Robbie, Harley Quinn will keep the mood of the film lighter and less gritty than other comic book films.

In addition to Robbie’s social media post giving a first-look, a teaser video for the movie dropped. This teaser showed off quick looks at some of the characters in costume. Production of the film reportedly began earlier this month, with the release date set for February 7, 2020.
