Man Wakes Up, Has No Memory Of His Family
A man woke up one morning and suffered a dramatic loss of life memories, but in a true love story, his wife really helped him recover.

No, it’s not an elaborate divorce prank. A guy lost all memory of his family, his wedding, education, everything, after waking up one day. Doctors are confused, but they’re working with the man, and he’s slowly getting some memories back.
So this is scary. The guy, Adam, woke up one day in his home. He had no idea where he was, and when his wife, Raquel, walked in the room he looked at her like a stranger. No connection whatsoever. When his wife figured out that he had an amnesia problem, she began asking him questions. “Do you know where you are? Do you know what year this is? Do you know what my name is?” she asked, all responded to with “no.” She tried her best to reassure him he was in his home with his family, and then took him to the hospital. The reason Raquel was handling the situation well was that it happened to Adam once before.
When they first started dating, he revealed a past experience in memory loss. He was dating a woman years ago who was extremely abusive. She beat him so badly in addition to hanging him from the ceiling of their garage that he lost memory. That time, he didn’t know anything, didn’t recognize his children, he didn’t even know he had been married and divorced. This time, it was much of the same. Here’s where it gets sweet though. Raquel is a seriously strong woman, and has been very patient. She and Adam started going on “dates” in the hospital where he was recovering. He was falling in love with her all over again. She was even showing him photos of the two on her Facebook – and he didn’t know what Facebook was, and called it “MySpace.”
Slowly, Adam’s memories started coming back after his hospital stay. He woke up one morning and immediately apologized for something from 3 years earlier as if it had happened the day before. And since then, some more memories have been coming back, but there are still a couple years of life missing. Adam still can’t remember anything from when they got married. But Raquel is staying patient and the two still seem to he a happy and healthy couple. This story got a bit long, but it’s really a great story of true love.
