Mac Miller Autopsy Completed, Additional Investigation Necessary
The L.A. County Medical Examiner noted that the autopsy report on the death of Mac Miller has been completed. An additional investigation will be carried out.

Mac Miller died on Sept. 7 at the age of 26 of an apparent overdose. The L.A. County Medical Examiner announced his autopsy was finished on Saturday, Sept. 8.
According to The Blast, the initial cause of the rapper’s death has been deferred due to insufficient evidence. The medical examiner noted that there were no “obvious” causes of death found. They are waiting for the toxicology test to provide more insight. No news yet on when those results will be in.

When authorities showed up at Miller’s house in Studio City, there were reportedly no outward signs of abuse or drug use, other than some unclassified white powder.
Miller’s family released a statement after news spread of his death. “Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers.”
