‘Little Mermaid Live’ Received Good Scores During Its Premiere On ABC

The live production of ‘The Little Mermaid’, which premiered on ABC on Tuesday, received strong scores and exceeding other premieres for the season.

The Little Mermaid Live has delivered strong ratings for ABC, after its premiere on Tuesday night.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, these rating have exceeded all other entertainment programs of the Fall so far. The mix between film presentation and live musical scored a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. This marked the best demographic number for any network show since the start of the season, surpassing the premiere of The Masked SingerThe Little Mermaid Live averaged 8.98 million total viewers, and posted much higher ratings over the previous live musical event: Fox’s Rent Live in January.

The live event featured an all-star cast, including Moana’s Auli’i Cravalho as Ariel, Queen Latifah as Ursula, and Shaggy as Sebastian the crab.
