Lions, Tigers, & A Bear (Oh My!) Break Out At Eifel Zoo

In a Wizard of Oz-like twist of fate, lions, tigers, and a bear (plus one jaguar) reportedly escaped from the Eifel Zoo earlier today.
According to Buzzfeed, officials at the German zoo are searching the grounds in an attempt to find the animals.
While the big cats are still missing, the search team found the bear outside the zoo grounds and sadly had to shoot it. Officials are warning anyone that lives in the area to stay indoors until they locate the remaining animals.

Although it’s not completely clear how the animals escaped, bad weather may be to blame. Some reports say that the weather might have caused a river to overflow and break enclosure fences at the zoo.

UPDATE
According to AP, authorities are now saying they found the big cats inside their cages. Confusion over where the animals were came about after volunteers using drones were unable to locate them in their enclosure. This sparked panic over whether or not they truly had escaped the Eifel zoo.
