The Sacramento Kings selected DeMarcus Cousins with the 5th selection in the 2010 NBA draft. The 6-11 center from the University of Kentucky has the potential to become a dominant big man in a league where there are fewer every year, and his size and skill would seem to make him a lock to be taken in the first few picks.

Cousins said before being drafted:

“I am the most dominant, and I believe I am the biggest game changer. I believe I am the best talent in the draft.”

Most NBA draft experts say Cousins is the most talented player in the draft and that this is a great pick for the Kings. The Kings had a need for a center after trading center Spencer Hawes to the Philadelphia 76ers last week. With the addition of Cousins, and Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans last year, this makes for an exciting team to watch this coming year.
