Mirror.co.uk says that multiple studies confirm that kids inherit their intelligence from their moms. Why? Because the studies say that the X chromosome is responsible for carrying intelligence and since dads only pass down one X chromosome and moms pass down to two – moms “are twice as likely to pass down intelligence to their children than the fathers are.”

Another study suggests that 40-60% of intelligence could be hereditary but the rest comes from a child’s environment.
