Sadly, fashion designer Kate Spade committed suicide yesterday, much to the surprise of the rest of the world. However the reasons behind her decision are now becoming more clear.

Sadly, fashion designer Kate Spade committed suicide yesterday, much to the surprise of the rest of the world. However the reasons behind her decision are now becoming more clear.
According to TMZ, Spade was deeply unhappy during her finals days.
As it turns out, she and her longtime husband, Andy Spade, had recently split. While Andy wanted a divorce and had already left their shared home, Kate did not feel the same way. She seemed to allude to the divorce in her suicide note as well, telling her daughter not to blame herself and to ask her dad instead.
On top of that, the late designer was also going through some business problems. Her husband explained that these two factors were leading her to drink more heavily than normal.
