Kanye infamously announced his interest in running for president at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. During his acceptance speech for the lifetime achievement award, he said:

“And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed in this moment, I’ve decided in 2020 to run for president.”

A radio DJ recently spoke out about an interview that he conducted with Kanye in which the rapper reportedly said that he felt he was attacked for “speaking out and challenging conventional thought.”

The interviewer revealed that the Grammy Award winner also said that he “loves Donald Trump,” but Kanye has yet to respond to the claims.
