It’s Official! A “Beauty and the Beast” Prequel Is Happening
Disney fans, get ready for a NEW series dedicated all to Gaston and his BFF/ sidekick, LeFou! Here’s what we know so far…

The Hollywood Reporter released the news Disney+ is working on a six-part, live-action “Beauty and the Beast” prequel about Gaston. Luke Evans played him in the 2017 live-action movie, and he’s already signed on. PLUS, Josh Gad who played his BFF/sidekick LeFou. Josh is also the showrunner and co-creator.

It’s another awesome reason to keep your Disney+ subscription if you’re a fan of Gaston. Here’s what we know so far: It would take place before they meet Belle and The Beast, there’s no title yet, it sounds like all six episodes will have original music. And, none of the other main actors from the movie is attached yet.
