Clear bags only for Ariana Grande's Golden 1 Center concert
For the first time in its short history, the Golden 1 Center will be enforcing a clear bag only policy for Friday night's Ariana Grande "Sweetener World Tour" concert.
The policy is in place nearly two years after a suicide bomber detonated explosives at one of her concerts in Manchester, England.
Here are 3 things to know:
- You are allowed only one clear, fully transparent, plastic bag or purse
- Everything inside must be visible and not concealed in other containers
- Maximum size is 12 x 6 x 12
This policy is only in place for this concert and does not apply to other Golden 1 Center events at this time.
“The Manchester (attack) a couple years ago really put a strong connection with her and her fans because she realized what those fans went through to come to the show and what they had to go through to get through that tragedy,” Christopher K with "106.5 The End" said.
“Everything coming in in some sort of a clear case is new, but hopefully everybody can abide by it-- and they certainly know why that rule is in place.”
Exceptions will be made for those with medically necessary equipment after a more thorough examination process.
Grande is kicking off a series of big concerts at Golden One Center.
