Homeless Man Who Went Viral Handing Resumes Out On The Street Lands New Job

A homeless man, who went viral last month when video showed him handing out resumes on the street, has landed a new job.

David Casarez, who went viral late last month when a video showed him handing out resumes on a street in the Silicon Valley, announced the big news that he has been hired at a new job. When the story was originally covered, the viral video reportedly led to Casarez receiving over 200 job offers from various companies.

KCRA reports that Casarez announced on social media this week that he had accepted a job as a software engineer for drone airspace company, WhiteFox Defense. In the social media post, he expressed his gratitude and relief about the positive results of the hard work surrounding his hunt for a job. He also voiced his excitement for starting his new position, saying: “They’re doing great things! Looking forward to working with them.”

Casarez and his story went viral last month, as reported information revealed that he had moved to the Bay Area to find work and resorted to handing resumes out on the street corner. The college graduate was faced with homelessness as he took on any extra work he could find. When people around the country saw the posted video of him dressed for job interviews and handing out resumes, he was soon swarmed with potential job offers looking to give him a chance.
