Many people, preparing for holiday baking around the country, are discovering that Hershey’s Kisses are reportedly missing their tips.

According to People, a Facebook group centered around baking was the first to notice and bring up the issue. A post asked if other users had found that the Hershey’s Kisses they had bought were missing their tops. This post immediately drew responses from several other upset bakers.

“I just opened a few bags today for cookies I’m gonna make next week… every single one is missing the tip,” one member commented. Another user said, ” Every bag I opened Santa hats and regular were broken off.” People reported that their own personnel had confirmed the defective sweets in a bag of Santa Hat Kisses. Additionally, these kisses had no broken pieces within the foil, suggesting that these chocolate treats were simply made with flat tops.

A representative for Hershey as acknowledged the problem presented by the Facebook group, and as assured that they are working on a fix. “The iconic, conical shape is one of the reasons families have loved Kisses for generations,” explained the representative. “And while there has always been some variability in that process, we are working to improve the appearance because it’s as important to us as it is to our fans.”
