Sep 20th, 2:46pm – Placerville CHP is reporting that there’s a wildfire that jumped the freeway just past Apple Hill if you’re heading out of town. The specific location is basically between Carson Rd and Ridgeway Dr. It’s the Cedar Grove/Camino area. Police and emergency responders have the freeway totally shut down, and nobody can get by except for emergency crews responding. There is a detour, but it’s a little out of the way, since it’s a winding route. Pleasant Valley Rd to Sly Park Rd.
We’ll keep you updated with more information as it comes in. But for now, if you can avoid the area, it’s highly recommended.
#meyersfire has jumped highway 50 near 8 Mile Road. Highway 50 and Pony Express Trail are hard closures. #edso via @SgtPrencipe
