SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - JULY 25: The teeth and jaw of a Great White Shark are displayed after research into the biological mechanics of the predator July 25, 2007 in Sydney, Australia. Researchers at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) including Dan Huber from the the University of Tampa, Florida in the USA, plan to remove muscles from the head of several sharks in order to create a digital shark, to help determine it's bio mechanics and potential "bite force". Globalnews.ca says that when a fisherman hooked a sevengill shark off the coast of Bodega Bay, he tried to release it back into the water. The shark spun around and bit him on the leg in the process! The man said:

“As I’m trying to get the hook out it turns, it pivots, and grabs onto the inside of my left ankle”

When Darby the pit bull heard his dad screaming, he jumped out of the car and came down to the beach to help him. That’s when Darby grabbed the shark by the tail and dragged it out of the water.

Darby’s owner is mostly healed from his injuries and said this about his courageous Darby:

“If it wasn’t for him, it could’ve gotten a lot worse.”
