Halsey Gets Candid, Reveals The Reason She Broke Up With G-Eazy

In a recent interview, Halsey was pretty candid about what led to her split a few months back with G-Eazy. And it turns out, it was her own music. Which at first sounds a little meh, but it totally makes sense when you think about. She was writing about what she was feeling and realized that if that’s really how she feels, she needs to make some changes.
“I have to be honest, [writing “Without Me”] led me to my decision [to break up with G-Eazy] at that time,” she said. “I listened to what I wrote and went ‘Oh my god, is that how I feel? If that’s how I feel I need to put the pause on this thing right now,” Elite Daily wrote.
So, she decided to cut some people out of her life. One of them being G. Obviously that one didn’t last, but according to Halsey, some of the other were permanently removed.
The song is called “Without Me” and it’s going to be released as a stand-along single. “‘Without Me’ is a record I’m super proud of because I just let it rip. I just f*cking went for it. It’s the best my voice has ever sounded… and it’s the most emotionally meaningful song — for me — that I’ve put out.”
