When you’re a celebrity and get invited to an award show, whether you win or not, if you’re nominated for an award – any award – you usually get to take home a cool swag bag full of random things that companies, brands, and advertisers put together. The Grammys were no different, with all 84 categories being made up of multiple nominees, there were easily a couple hundred of these bags to go around.
The gift bags are worth somewhere around $30k, and are made up of about 40 different gifts. Everything from makeup to spas, to Wi-Fi pet feeders. Here are some of the more interesting things that were tossed inside, per this website:
A subscription to the Book of the Month club
Ear cleaning device from Clear Ear
A children’s book, Curlee Girlee, which teaches girls to love their unique features
A psychic reading over the phone from Go Beyond Here
A chocolate bar from Mraz Family Farms, Jason Mraz’s company
The self-help book “Rule #1 Don’t Be #2,” from Dan Milstein
A wi-fi pet feeder from Shop Modern Innovations
WowWee Fingerlings toys
There’s a whole bunch of goodies in the bag. Check out the full list of everything included here. Except for some of the spa things, well, it really doesn’t seem that exciting. And remember, you’ve got to pay taxes on the bag. I don’t know what taxes on $30k costs, but we’re assuming somewhere around $12k or so. Could be wrong.
