Because of overcrowding, both the Bradshaw Animal Shelter AND Front Street Animal Shelter are offering FREE adoptions!
Bradshaw Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees this weekend (June 4th and 5th). They posted:
The Bradshaw Animal Shelter is currently overcrowded with nearly 400 dogs, cats and kittens!
We are in desperate need of fosters and adopters. So, WE ARE WAIVING ADOPTION FEES for dogs and cats THIS WEEKEND ONLY (Saturday/Sunday)!!! If you would like to foster or adopt before then, please COME ADOPT NOW at 3839 Bradshaw Rd in Sacramento, CA 12pm-5pm or apply to become a temporary foster at https://bit.ly/3Nc7NHw!!!
We have all types and sizes of dogs/cats looking for their #foreverhomes or temporary foster homes to free up space. No appointment necessary. What’s included with your adoption? All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, PLUS Sac County residents receive one year of licensing and all dog adopters will also receive a dog toy to take home.
Don’t forget your ID when you stop by to adopt and please know we appreciate your patience in advanced as you may experience long wait times while we help our shelter pets find the right home!

Our shelter is overflowing – Free adoptions through next Friday!
Our kennels are completely full, and we are overwhelmed with homeless pets. To help save lives, all pets will be free to adopt through Friday, June 10th. Please share to help them get out of the shelter and into homes. There are so many incredible pets waiting to meet you!
