Fleetwood Mac revealed their new tour lineup, with their performances of two songs on Wednesday’s Ellen. The band performed their hit songs, “Gypsy” and “The Chain”, alongside the two new guitarists they welcomed earlier this year.
According to Rolling Stone, the two new band mates are Mike Campbell, formerly of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Crowded House’s Neil Finn. The two joined Fleetwood Mac after the longtime band fired Lindsey Buckingham in April. In the performances on Ellen, both of the new guitarists were featured front-and-center, on either side of Stevie Nicks, with Finn providing backing vocals with Nicks.
This new unveiling of the lineup sets the stage for Fleetwood Mac’s upcoming North American tour, which will kick-off October 3rd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When asked about the preparations for the tour, Nicks was reported saying: “There are 10 hits we have to do, that leaves another 13 songs if you want to do a three-hour show.” “At rehearsal, we’re going to put up a board of 60 songs,” she continued. “Then we start with number one and we go through and we play everything. Slowly you start taking songs off and you start to see your set come together.”
