Yep, we broke it a couple weeks ago that Normani Kordei signed a solo gig, and that there were rumors that Lauren Jauregui was next. Well, we can confirm that the group themselves have confirmed (double confirm?) a Fifth Harmony split. Err, rather they’re taking a “hiatus” so that the members can work on their solo acts.
Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane so far are the only remaining members who haven’t been rumored to be going solo, though Dinah worked with RedOne, Daddy Yankee and French Montana for a song last year. Ally worked with “Topic” a couple months ago on a song called “Perfect” (not Ed Sheeran’s song). The girls, back in 2012, were on The X Factor where they all auditioned separately. The producers of the show put them all together, and thus, Fifth Harmony was born. It’s been 6 years in the making (4 for Camila Cabello since she was the first one to break away), and now it looks like they’re all getting their original plans of a solo career. Here’s their official announcement:

The ladies all say that they’re excited to work on their solo careers, but that their “hiatus” won’t change any of their touring plans through the rest of 2018. What that means for next year we can’t be sure, but we’re going to guess that this “hiatus” is actually the end of Fifth Harmony, BUT they may still do some appearances together in the future. We just won’t know for sure. Remember that One Direction went on “hiatus” as well. But so did Backstreet Boys, so… Check out some more info on the Harmony ladies’ hiatus right over here. Do you think it’s good that they’re working on their solo careers, or do you think they’re all better as a group? Have you seen them live in concert? Do you think it’s a Fifth Harmony Split for good?
