[lastfm]Eminem[/lastfm]’s latest album Recovery hit #1 on the Billboard charts this last week with 741,000 copies being sold. It’s the biggest sales week for a single album since October 2008, when[lastfm] AC/DC[/lastfm]’s Black Ice debuted with 784,000 in its first. Em also was atop the iTunes charts topping the singles tally with the [lastfm]Rihanna[/lastfm] duet “Love the Way You Lie” and the albums chart. [lastfm]Drake[/lastfm]’s rookie effort Thank Me Now dropped one spot to #2 as sales dipped by 65 percent to 157,000, but the still passed the gold mark in just two weeks. Drake’s second single “Find Your Love” is currently climbing the charts. [lastfm]Miley Cyrus [/lastfm]was #3 last week with her latest album Can’t Be Tamed selling 102,000 copies. Cyrus’ more brash attitude has not helped her album sales as her latest album was less than half of what 2008’s Breakout did in its debut week (371,000). [lastfm]Ozzy Osbourne[/lastfm]’s latest solo effort, Scream, lands at #4 after moving 81,000 copies. It’s followed at #6 by the chart bow from [lastfm]the Roots’ [/lastfm]long-in-the-works How I Got Over (51,000).In a relatively slow week on the charts, the rest of the top 10 include: Now 34 (#5, 55,000), [lastfm]Jack Johnson’s [/lastfm]To the Sea (#7, 44,000),[lastfm] Justin Bieber’s [/lastfm]My World 2.0 (#8, 43,000), [lastfm]Sarah McLachlan’s [/lastfm]Laws of Illusion (#9, 38,000) and the soundtrack to “Eclipse” (#10, 38,000).
