Is Ed Sheeran Performing At His Own Wedding?

Ed Sheeran is a singer whose songs get used at weddings, so it’s only obvious that he sing at his own wedding, right?

Wouldn’t that be awkward? Ed Sheeran performing at the Ed Sheeran wedding would be like a photographer photographing his or her own wedding, right? But will he? That’s exactly what he talked about while visiting a radio station in Australia.

Ed Sheeran writes some pretty amazing love songs, and it’s no surprise that a lot of his songs have become wedding hits. “Perfect” is a perfect example of an amazing wedding song. But will Ed be singing that song himself at his own wedding to fiancĂ©e Cherry Seaborn? He already mentioned that he wants to build his own chapel in which the wedding will be held, so we wouldn’t put it past him to try and sing at his own wedding. But no, he’s not planning on performing. He may sing something to Cherry, just as a personal thing, but an actual Ed Sheeran concert at an Ed Sheeran wedding isn’t going to happen. Have you ever seen a singer or someone in a band perform at their own wedding? Was it weird?

To put it directly into Ed’s own words – “Ah…I think it’d be a little bit weird.” Truthfully, that’s about as far as that conversation went, however he did once again explain the ring that Cherry made for him, saying that it’s not a wedding band but an engagement ring, which goes against the convention of guys not wearing one. See more details about the engagement ring here, and some more about Ed squashing rumors that he’s performing at his own wedding here. Even if you have the skill and the know-how to do something, sometimes you should just step back and let someone else handle it, you know? But like we said, we think he might have a surprise song that he writes for Cherry, almost like reciting vows, but as far as a full-on performance? Nah, we think he’ll skip it.
