Don’t Let Your Halloween Costume Put You In Urgent Care
A woman is advising against using fake teeth with your Halloween costume after she had to go to an emergency dentist when the teeth wouldn’t come off.

An important warning for anyone who might have some fake teeth to go with that Halloween costume this year. This woman, Anna Tew, ended up at an emergency dentist in the middle of the night to have her teeth cut out of her mouth. The fake ones, not the real ones. Should have put that up front.
A great accessory that can make or break many costumes is a good set of fake teeth. Whether you’re going for the “Bubba” look, or if you need some fangs for that vampire costume, teeth really are the final golden touch. Some are expensive, and some are just a few dollars. Anna had the few dollar variety, and they came with some temporary adhesive to help them stick and stay in place.
Though Anna learned the hard way that they stayed in place a little too well. In her case, the adhesive became more of a permanent variety. No matter how hard she yanked and pulled, the fake fangs were not coming off. “It went on and on and I was trying to get them out, and after it was over with, I tried until it was like 2 o’clock this morning. They wouldn’t budge… I even took a pair of wire clippers and cut the tips off of those,” Anna says. That’s some serious stick.
Anna says she was in agonizing pain, but didn’t think she should go to an emergency room for the problem. She did find an emergency dentist though, but that was even more painful. She says the dentist couldn’t numb anything because he was worried that her actual teeth would come out with the fake ones. “He talked about drilling. They had a saw, talked about taking [them] off in sections, and they couldn’t numb it because they were scared they would actually pull my teeth out… So he went in and picked and pulled and I squealed like a baby and they got them out.” Yee-ouch! Nah, I’m good, no fake teeth for me. You know what, I’m going to go brush my teeth right now. Just to be sure they’re in good shape.
Read some more about Anna’s teeth over here, and maybe make sure the kiddos avoid using those tomorrow night.
