Details To Sacramento’s Women’s March Here

Tomorrow, Sacramento is hosting its 4th Annual Women’s March. Here’s what you need to know before you and your tribe get your rally on!

Saturday, Jan. 18, hundreds maybe thousands of people will march to stand up to #MarchForOurHumanRights, #BeCounted, and to demonstrate #WomenRising at the California State Capitol. Before you start making your women empowerment signs for the Women’s March, here are some things you need to know!

According to Women’s March Sacramento, meet at Southside Park at 9am for the rally. At 10:30am, marchers will leave Southside Park and rally on the West Steps of the CA State Capitol as marchers arrive by 11:30am. This women’s empowerment event will have speakers, music, and live and food trucks at 9am. March officials are asking to please limit sticks on signs or flags to 18 inches of wood from the bottom of the sign or flag. 

Route length is approximately one mile – from Southside Park, East on T Street to 9th, left to march North to Capitol Mall. Finally, right to march East to the West Steps of the CA State Capitol. The march is free to attend, but the event organizers ask that attendees register online so they can prepare appropriate accommodations.
