Don’t be alarmed if you see smoke in the sky tonight in Carmichael. The Denny’s at the corner of  Fair Oaks Boulevard and Manzanita Avenue is going to be burned down! See why…

KCRA.com says that the Denny’s (which is closed down) will be set on fire by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department to allow them a training experience in the dark.

The article says:

The training fire gives crews an authentic experience of responding to a restaurant fire and the challenges faced in making entry into a commercial building and locating the fire.

The Denny’s is expected to be set on fire between 10p and 11p tonight, (Weds., 9/02/19), and they expect it to be burned to the ground by tomorrow morning.

It’ll be sad to see that place go for those of us who have lots of memories there. 🙁

A closed Denny's restaurant will be burned to the ground late Wednesday night in the name of safety
