Demi Lovato Celebrates 90 Days Sober According To Her Mother
Demi Lovato’s mother recently commented on the singer’s recovery journey from her overdose earlier this year. Lovato recently celebrated 90 days sober since her time in rehab.

Demi Lovato’s family has reason to celebrate, as the singer reached the milestone of 90 days sober.
According to Yahoo, Dianna De La Garza shared insight on her daughter’s recovery. Lovato, who suffered an apparent drug overdose on July 24, elected to check into rehab after the incident.
De La Garza revealed details surrounding Lovato’s recovery journey, saying: “Yes, she has 90 days [of sobriety], and I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work. It’s not easy. There are no short cuts.”

De La Garza also shared what she knew of her daughter’s struggles before the overdose. “I knew that she wasn’t sober, but let me clarify. I didn’t know what she was doing….because she doesn’t live with me. She’s 26. I just knew that she wasn’t sober. And that’s all I really knew at that time.”
A source close to Lovato revealed to ET how her family and friends have shown support. “Demi understands that every day is a struggle to stay sober, and she’s doing everything she can to get back to where she was. Demi is thankful to be surrounded by so many people who love her, and want to see her win.”
