You’re going to love this story from CBS. Walter Carr is a young man from Homewood Alabama, who recently got a job with Bellhops Moving Company. He was excited for his 1st day of work, until his 2003 Nissan Altima broke down. He knew if he didn’t make it to his 1st day, he probably wouldn’t be asked to come back. Determined, he looked up the house he was expected to be at. It was nearly 20 miles from him. He also had to be there at 6:30 a.m. But that didn’t stop him.

After rides fell through, Carr began walking to his destination at midnight. He had traveled 14 miles before police picked him up at 4 a.m. Once the officers heard his story, they bought him breakfast and a take-out lunch, then dropped him off just in time. The rest of the crew had yet to arrive. The homeowner suggested he take a nap, but he refused and got to work instead.

The homeowner was inspired by his dedication and set up a GoFundMe to buy him a new vehicle. The CEO of the moving company got wind of it and handed over the keys to his 2014 Ford Escape the next day! Carr was fighting back tears. Believe it or not, it gets better! The GoFund raised nearly $9,000. Donors didn’t want their money back and instead told him to put it toward college. He’s planning on joining the Marines then going to college for physical therapy! We hope he accomplishes it all and know he will.
