Cover/Title For New ‘Hunger Games’ Prequel Book Has Been Revealed

The title and cover art, for the upcoming ‘Hunger Games’ prequel book, has officially been revealed for fans of the series.

The new Hunger Games prequel book has officially been given a title and book cover.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the title of author Suzanne Collins’ new book was revealed on Good Morning America. The prequel novel will reportedly be called The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, taking place before the events of The Hunger Games series. This new book will be releasing for fans May 19, 2020. Additionally, the cover of the novel was revealed, showcasing a golden mockingjay and snake perched on a branch.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will take place 64 years before the events of the first Hunger Games book. The story will reportedly focus on the events of the 10th Hunger Games. According to Scholastic President Ellie Berger, the novel “raises important questions about authority, the use of violence, and the truth of human nature.”
