Awesome news! Christy Carlson Romano, the original voice of Kim Possible, is joining the live-action cast.

The TV show, about a teen cheerleader who fights crime with her best friend, Ron Stoppable, ran from 2002 to 2007. It had a wild following during that time, even prompting two Disney Channel Original Movies.

Needless to say, news of Romano’s involvement has excited fans who watched the show religiously in the early naughts. On top of that, Patton Oswalt, who voiced super villain Professor Dementor, also signed on to join the cast!

According to Entertainment Weekly, it’s not yet clear who each actor will be playing. However, those who are hoping that Romano might play Kim’s mom will be disappointed. That role has already been assigned to Alyson Hannigan.

Even if it’s just a small cameo, it’s great that some of original cast is returning for the live-action! Although, of course, it’d be amazing if they had a larger role. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
