If you’ve ever wondered what magic ingredients Chipotle puts in their guacamole to make it taste so good, now we know. Chipotle has joined the club of restaurants sharing their secret recipes to help us thru the pandemic. Now we can replicate this delicious dish at home.

The restaurant’s Executive Chef Chad Brauze posted a step-by-step tutorial on their Instagram Live showing how simple this recipe truly is. All you’ll need are avocados, limes, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño, and kosher salt.

The recipe has also been posted to Twitter, which you can find HERE

Ingredients:
2 ripe Hass avocados
2 tsp lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
1/4 cup red onion (diced)
1/2 jalapeno including seeds (diced)
1/4 tsp kosher salt

Steps:
1. Cut avocados in half – remove pits
2. Scoop the avocados into a bowl
3. Toss and coat with lime juice
4. Add the salt and mash until smooth
5. Fold in remaining ingredients and mix
6. Taste the guac & adjust seasoning if necessary

Chef Brauze gave us license to adjust the recipe in anyway we see fit. No limes handy, use lemons. Don’t like your food spicy? Leave out the jalapeno or substitute green bell pepper. No red onion? Use white or yellow, or completely skip the onions if you’re not a fan.
