Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum met on-set of the movie “Step Up” back in 2006, and were married 3 years later in 20019. Now, 9 years later, the two have decided to separate, presumably leading to divorce. They announced it to the world in one of those “conscious uncoupling” letters that are popular these days. Here’s their message:

It seems like the two are still on good terms. At least that’s the idea behind those sorts of messages that announce a split, anyway. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt sort of released a similar message. Sometimes despite “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another,” and “There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision,” things just don’t work out for some reason. We don’t want to assume that something bad really did happen, because that’s how rumors get started. In the end, sometimes you just decide you’d be a better friend than lover to someone, we get it. There are some more details here on the split, but for now, Channing Tatum is back on the market. We wish both of them the best moving forward, and hope that the two do stay close friends.
