Who else is ready for fried EVERYTHING at the California State Fair, besides me? The state fair kicks off on Friday, July 12th and runs through Sunday, July 28th with a MAJOR change this year.

The fair organizers announced they will replace the end of the night fireworks show with something super high-tech and creative – a drone light show! This light show will consist of eighty drones synced to music lighting up the skies this fair season – sounds cool right? Organizers also said the light show will be seen from about two football fields away according to KCRA.

Over the past year, drone shows have replaced some NorCal fireworks shows and are considered to be more environmentally safe, especially due to increasing wildfire danger. Sounds like it’ll be something you can not miss out on seeing this fair season and will leave us wondering how it was done. Here’s a behind the scenes video showing how drone light shows are created!
