A police department in York, Maine received a random phone call that helped lead them to an arrest.

There was nobody on the other line…just the faint sounds of yelling and arguing. The 911 operator was butt dialed.

Police used cellphone towers to figure out where the call came from and the 45-year-old homeowner ran out to apologize about the accidental call, but she got arrested anyway, for allegedly furnishing alcohol to minors.

Police cleared the house and left. However, they received one more 911 call that brought them back.

According to the Portland Press Herald, less than an hour after the accidental 911 call, police got a purposeful 911 call reporting that a man at the home had pointed a firearm at a minor.

Joseph David Coreau, the home owner, pulled a gun on the kid whose phone was responsible for the butt dial because he was upset it had drawn police to the residence.

He was arrested and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. Police found three loaded guns in the attic, Seacoast Online reports.
