Brewery And Smokehouse Opening Near Southside Park This Saturday [PICS]

Urban Roots is opening its doors this weekend! Just in time for Sac Beer Week. Sac Bee reports the grand opening of the 17,000-square-foot brewery off Broadway at the corner of 14th and V street is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, though co-founders Rob Archie and Peter Hoey have been serving state workers after 5 p.m. all week.

Urban Roots specializes in Farmhouse Ales, which I love. Most beers will be in the style of German lagers. There’s also a solid menu with BBQ favorites: brisket, ribs, mac n cheese, wings and more! I know it’s hard to keep up with all the new breweries coming to town, but from the pictures, I’ll definitely be visiting this place.
