And we’re not talking about a 5-year-old’s play wedding, either. Seriously, people are renting bouncy castles for their weddings. We’re not totally sure what to think about that, but it seems fine I guess?

It’s actually starting to really take off in the U.K., and we’re sure some weddings here in the states have had them as well. They’re literally bouncy castles, and some companies are even making wedding-specific ones. They’re big, they’re white, they’re decorated to look elegant… Seriously, check out that picture.

Some of the older generation would probably argue that the “millennial” generation are still “children.” That’s probably why they would think that grown adults would want a bounce house at their wedding. I think a lot of the desire for bouncy castles has to do with TV. The current 20-somethings (wedding age) grew up during the peak of those obstacle-course shows. You know, the ones with those big foam things you have to jump and run over that beat people up. Like the gladiator stuff but colorful and full of water and pain.

Whatever the case though, a lot of adults these days really do just want to have fun in a bounce house for adults. Maybe it’s just the feeling of being young again, or perhaps it’s just for the simple fun of it. But if you have a Pinterest board that looks like a 5-year-old’s best idea of a birthday party, you might just be planning a wedding. Check out some more info here.
