Blue Ivy not only has an eye for are at just 6 years old, she’s got the pocketbook for it, too. She just placed a $10k bid for an art piece, and actually won.

This past Saturday night was the Wearable Art Gala down in LA. The fabulous host was Tina Knowles Lawson, Beyonce’s mother. The event is for the benefit of the WACO (Where Art Can Occur) Theater Center, and it helps to give mentoring and a space for performing arts to teens. Beyonce (and Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter) were being honored for humanitarian work they had done as well. Beyonce and little Blue Ivy wore matching outfits, of course, and looked stunning as they entered the venue:

Anyway, during the event there was an art auction happening as well. Blue actually bid on a couple different paintings, but only walked away with one winning bid. The first item she bid on was a painting of Sidney Poitier for $17k. She was outbid, and bid again for $19k, and that’s when Jay-Z “jokingly” tried to take her bidding-paddle away (reportedly). She was outbid again, and it sold for $20k to Tyler Perry. The next item Blue Ivy wanted came up, which was a “piece of art” made from pages out of law and medical books. Blue Ivy dropped her bid for $10k on that, and took it home. See some more details and pictures from the event here.
