‘Avengers: Endgame’ Debuts To Record-Breaking Amount

Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has reached a major milestone in box office performance, with its record-breaking $1.2 billion weekend.

Avengers: Endgame delivered a monster opening weekend, with its record-breaking debut this past weekend.

According to VarietyEndgame smashed the predicted box office gross, earning a jaw-dropping $356 million domestically and $866 million internationally. Endgame is the final film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s current phase of movies, spanning the last 10+ years. The film made history with its debut, becoming the first film to gross over $1.2 billion globally in its opening weekend. It also became the fastest movie to reach $1 billion, breaking Avengers: Infinity War‘s record of 11 days.

With this movie, both of the top two worldwide releases have come from Marvel. The collection of all 22 Marvel movies have grossed a combined total of $19.9 billion. It is expected that the next milestone Endgame hopes to reach is the highest grossing movie of all time. Marvel has its work cut out, in order to surpass Avatar with its $2.7 billion achievement.
