Amazon, Raley’s, Safeway Hiring Thousands

With lots of companies having to shut down due to concerns over the Coronavirus, there are a few that are busier than ever and need help keeping up with demand from the public!

Time.com says that Amazon is hiring 100,000 people to keep up with a surge in orders from their customers who are at home and shopping online. You can visit their career center, HERE

In addition, the article reports that Amazon will “temporarily raise pay by $2 an hour through the end of April for hourly employees who work at its warehouses, delivery centers and Whole Foods grocery stores.” How amazing is that?!

KCRA.com is also reporting that grocers Raley’s and Safeway are also looking to hire thousands in NorCal as people as people are flocking to the stores to stock up on supplies. The positions include both in-store employees and delivery drivers.
