Amazon’s extremely popular Prime shipping, may be getting a boost in expedited shipping.
According to People, the company is reportedly looking at switching their current free, two-day shipping service, to a free one-day shipping. Amazon’s finance chief, Brian Olsavsky commented on this reported change. “We’re currently working on evolving our Prime shipping program, which has historically been a two-day program, to a one-day shipping program,” Olsavsky explained. He continued, saying: “We’ll be building most of this capacity through the year, in 2019, we expect to make steady progress quickly and through the year.”
Amazon reportedly already offers versions of one-day shipping, however these options often cost an added premium. This new, one-day shipping will be made free through Prime membership, as well as additional updates for Prime services.
