Good news, travelers! Alaska Airlines announced that they will host nonstop service from Sacramento to Kailua-Kona later this year.
This will be the only direct flight available between the two destinations, and will fly out three times a week. Right now, the airline only offers nonstop service to Maui, but that’ll change on December 20.
According to West Hawaii Today, the flight to Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport from Sacramento International Airport is the first such to Hawaii Island.
Now it’ll be easier to explore different parts of the state, so plan your vacations accordingly!
