Get Into The CA State Fair For FREE This Season! Here’s How
The smell of turkey legs and fried grilled cheese sandwiches are in the air! The California State Fair is officially open! Wanna go for free?

The fair kicked off on Friday, July 12 – July 28 and we can not wait for everything the fair will offer this season, especially FREE admission day!

Set a reminder now, SMUD Giving Mondays are back this season! The California State Fair and SMUD have partnered again to help The Elk Grove Food Bank with nonperishable donations. Fairgoers can donate nonperishable items for a free ticket into the Fair. According to the Fair’s website, here’s how it works:
- Donate three or more non-expired, nonperishable items per person for example: peanut butter, canned meat (chicken or tuna) veggies, fruit, or soup.
- Come to the CA State Fair any time between 11 am and 3 pm on July 15th and July 22nd
- Get in free, courtesy of SMUD!
