The $185 Steak Sandwich [PIC]

There’s a steak sandwich in New York that’s going for nearly $200, so we did some research to find out what exactly makes it that expensive.

This isn’t an ad, it’s a story about a ridiculously overpriced steak sandwich. I mean, I wish I could afford one, because then I’d spend that money on something else instead. Like 10 steak sandwiches. ANyway, here we go.

So it’s really, at the end of the day, just a steak sandwich. Steak though is something that people don’t take lightly. There’s a certain way to cook steak to suit everyone’s taste. Some people are perfectly happy with a steak on the grille, yes. But some people like their steak done just right. Too well-done and it’s ruined. Not done enough, it’s ruined. So we’re going to assume that this thing is just perfectly cooked-to-order and is amazingly juicy and just the way we want it.

The Ozaki’s ready and so are we. See you soon NYC. #DonWaygu

The restaurant is located in New York, about 5-minutes worth of walking from the New York Stock Exchange building. Oh, that’s why it’s so expensive, Wall Street, got it. It’s made from wagyu beef, which is grown on one specific farm in Japan. By the way, the only place to actually find this sort of beef, apparently, is this restaurant. The bread the beef, and then “flash fry” it, which creates a crunchy shell with a “creamy, soft heart.” I’m not going to lie, it does sound good, but for $185? Check out all the details here. How much would you be willing to spend on food that was cooked absolutely perfectly to your taste?
