Time Reveals 100 Most Influential People List: Sac State Alum Ryan Coogler, Sacramento Native Greta Gerwig & More

TIME released its annual 100 Most Influential People of the Year list, and Sacramento is well represented! Sacramento native Greta Gerwig made the list for directors, as well as Sac State alum Ryan Coogler! Roseanne also scored a spot, plus Invasion of Privacy rapper Cardi B, Big Little Lies‘ Nicole Kidman, Girls Trip‘s Tiffany Haddish, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, and Jimmy Kimmel.
However, Greta wins. The magazine had another influential person in their profession write their “bio” for them. The Lady Bird creator was paired with Steven (freaking) Speilberg, who wrote, “Not every year does a filmmaker’s solo feature debut sweep you up in its sweetness and pain, in its humility and frankness, and in its confidence in the art and craft of filmmaking.”
