This explains so much. New research suggests people who are emotionally unstable are more likely to be addicted to their smartphones. A team of psychologists conducted an online study with 640 smartphone users, aged 13-69, to find the correlation between smartphone use and personality traits, MedicalXpress reports.

The study revealed people who struggle with their mental health are more likely to use their smartphone as a form of therapy and the less attentive that person is the more likely they are to be addicted to their phones. It also revealed that as anxiety levels increase in an individual, the more they use their smartphone. Hmm. Not surprised.
