Actress Allison Mack, best known for playing Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, has been arrested for her ties to the sex cult Nxivm.

According to TMZ, the FBI took Mack into custody and she is due in court on Friday.

While it’s unclear what charges she is facing, authorities believe she is second in command in the cult.

Police already took leader Keith Raniere into custody last month for sex trafficking. He had fled to Mexico after it emerged that the his “self-help” group was more shady than it seemed. Some former members alleged that Nxivm was secretly forcing women into sexual slavery. Even worse, Raniere and Mack allegedly forced women to receive brands of their initials while turning them into slaves.

Although Allison Mack was allegedly a slave herself, she was Raniere’s “direct slave,” according to Page Six. This meant she had a sexual relationship with and was a “master” to the other slaves. Mack also worked to lure other women into the cult by claiming it was a “women’s mentorship group.” Once members made it far enough into the group, Mack allegedly coerced them into providing “collateral.” This often meant nude photos and videos that could later publicly embarrass them if they tried to leave.

We wish the best to all the victims involved with Nxivm.
